We Say NO to Videos on Flickr!!

I have been a member of Flickr for a long time now. I loved the way it was photo's and photo's only.

I remember hearing a rumour, maybe last year that they will start having videos on the site, but I thought.. nahh they wouldn't be so silly, why spoil such a wonderfully successful site with the likelihood of boring trashy videos that have no place on a photo sharing site.. come on, if you want videos go to YouTube.

Well I was wrong and as of this week Flickr has introduced videos, quite obviously due to it being bought by Yahoo, and wanting perhaps to compete with Googles YouTube, though I sincerely hope not.

I am so disappointed with Flickr for doing this, it was a class site up until now.

There is a group on Flickr which you can join if you feel the same as me (in fact there maybe more than one group) where you can sign a petition against this decision.

I know it's a small issue in the world really but it's the little things in life that make the difference!

'Appy Bloomin' Christmas

Before going to work today I wasn't feeling great so just sat around on the computer watching YouTube videos. I watched such a sweet cartoon, Raymond Briggs' Father Christmas, which I know has been around for years but it was my first time.

OK, so I notice it doesn't exactly fit into my blog, it's too wide and even though I have adjusted it a little it's still not right - oh well nice idea!

EDIT: Today (2 days later) I notice it is in fact OK.. weird
