At The British Museum

Went to the British Museum today as it's a Bank Holiday, it was really interesting.

I was last there many years ago when the kids were very young and we went as part of a school trip. It's not far from where I live, a 30 minute bus ride and it's free entry, so I don't know why I hadn't been for so long, I guess it's lack of time.

The majority of people there did seem to be tourists, funny how when you live somewhere you don't visit too much.

I took lots of photos, some are not that brilliant as it's a bit dark in some of the rooms and of course a lot of the objects are behind glass, so reflections become quite a problem.

I was going to post a few but I couldn't make up my mind, so I posted them all in this slideshow made from the photos posted on Flickr..

Tired At The Museum

Since returning from Dubai I have not really felt myself. Nothing specific really, just an overwhelming tiredness which I can't seem to get rid of even though I have been sleeping well.

But as I'm off work this week I also wanted to do some of the things I had originally planned to do. One of these was visiting the newly refurbished London Transport Museum.

It's not far on the bus to get there, we spent less than 2 hours looking round and taking some photos, then went for a little walk in the area, by which time I was more than ready to get home again - quite unlike me, but never mind I'm sure it will pass eventually.
