My Daily Routine

What time do you usually wake up?
Either 6:30 or 7:30 depending on what time I'm working that day.

What’s the first thing you do?
Eat breakfast

Breakfast?
A big bowl of cereal and a cup of tea.

Do you go to work/school?
Work

Do you like it?
I'd prefer to be a lady of leisure, but it pays the bills.

If you stay at home, what do you do all day?
Well, weekends only that is - and I spend too much time online

When’s lunch and what you eatin’?
We only get 30 mins lunch break, so it's usually a quick sandwich.

What time do you get home from work/school?
Depends on what time I started that day but the latest is about 7pm

What do you do?
I'm a Healthcare Assistant in a GP surgery, sometimes known as Nursing Assistant

Dinner: When and what?
Usually between 7:30 - 8pm, and I do try to have a wide variety of dishes.

What do you do to unwind?
Blogging, reading, and watching TV.

What is your favourite part of the day?
Evenings, just after dinner.

Six non-important things/habits/quirks about me

1. I cannot bear anyone to be touching me when I sleep.

2. I NEVER EVER sit on a public toilet, not even at work.

3. I find housework extremely boring, the only thing that makes it more bearable is listening to talk radio LBC

4. I am addicted to lipsalve. It's one the most important things in my handbag and I have several dotted around the house.

5. I collect charity pin badges. I have quite a lot now an am always on the lookout in shops for new ones. Good for me and the charities.

6. I hate long nails, either on myself or on others, they make me cringe. I have to keep my own very short and feel quite disturbed if I can't cut them the minute I feel they are too long for me!

The book that was close to hand is the book I am STILL reading, "My Mummy Wears A Wig, Does Yours?" by Michelle Williams-Huw. Yep, I'm a slow reader, well not really slow, just read too many blogs then fall asleep before I can even pick up the book!


I decided to ring the counsellor from the BBC helpline as I think I might need someone to help me along.

Ten-Minute Life Coach says don't be afraid to buy in help, so I though the counsellor would be just what I need right now.

Told Ian P I was a bit down in the dumps and he is coming over next Wednesday to take me to the sea and buy me chips - sounds just the thing.

A Few Things That Irritate Me

Been tagged by Pawhealer from A Spiritual Dog Blog to do the 7 things about me meme, but with a difference - 7 things that irritate me!


1. People walking so slow, in a group, taking up the entire pavement, as I move right or left to get past so do they seem to so I'm stuck.. and I'm usually in a hurry to get to work.

2. Groups of people waiting at bus stops, never in an orderly queue, but in a crowd, a blind crowd that cannot see me approaching, and therefore does not budge an inch to let me pass...

3. Why do non English speakers have to shout all the time, be it in the street or supermarket, on the phone, just about anywhere, they seem to have to shout.

4. My neighbour deciding to have a karaoke session about 11pm on a work night - she's doesn't work so I think she's almost nocturnal.

5. Rain as I'm going to work, that means I end up sitting around for hours in wet socks and trousers. It's not so bad if I'm on the way home as I can change!

6. My heating and hot water going berserk and having to sort out engineers to come and sort out time off work.

7. Terrible to say, but my kids irritate me, when I come home to washing up, dirty clothes, plates and cups all over the place, and loud music booming out so I can't even think straight... I know I shouldn't really moan as they are not home all the time now, but when they are I certainly know it!

Now I know I should pass this on, but recently I've passed so much on to so many I want people to have a choice.. If you would like to reveal a few things that irritate you then please do, then let me know and I can add you name in this post..

I have now been tagged by Tammy at Mom Knows Everything to do Seven Things About Me.

I thought, shall I cheat and use the same things as before, or shall I find new things?

Well I decided there MUST be another 7 things I can think of about me, so here they are the all new 7...

1. I love beetroot - much to the dismay of everyone else in my family.

2. I fell backwards down 6 steps breaking my left foot when I was talking to my sons teacher, right in front of the entire school - very embarrassing!

3. I used to do yoga and was extremely flexible - not so much now.

4. I totally love music, I currently have 9107 in my iTunes and love playing on random.

5. I don't watch much TV, probably because I'm online too much. I prefer to be a bit more interactive then TV allows.

6. I drink lots and lots and lots of water. I am always thirsty, I have been tested for diabetes and all is well.

7. I'm not a great fan of Christmas. I dislike the way it has become over commercialized. I could cope with it when the kids were young, but now it all seems too over the top. I think it should be a pleasant happy family time not a competition to buy, buy, buy the biggest and best gifts.

1.I had my appendix removed when I was 16

Fabulous And Cranky

Tee at Spilt Milk has kindly awarded me the Totally Fabulous Award.

It's not the first time I have received this award but it's lovely to be thought of again, especially today!

All day I have felt angry and irritable. Almost everyone has annoyed me, at work, in the supermarket, in the street, on the TV... wahhhhh I just wanna scream.

I know why, it's getting to that time of the month and I don't like it. I used to get the PMS very very badly, in fact so badly I had to resort to anti depressants, which I have been on for sometime. So I've not had too many crazy months recently, but today I was getting scared that it was going to get out of control. Thankfully, so far it hasn't and I'm going to try to get an early night, hopefully a good sleep will help.

I've been tagged by Diana from 134u.com for this meme to name 13 things or situations that turn your shadow, rainy, ugly day into a shiny day!

Well I think it's quite difficult to think of 13 things, but here goes..

1. A warm sunny day

2. Riding my bike with no place special to go

3. Chocolate :)

4. Listening to rain, when I'm tucked up in bed.

5. Reading a good book

6. Listening to my choice of music (not the kids choice lol)

7. Having a bit of a dance when no one is looking

8. Singing out loud, definitely when no one is listening

9. Waking up thinking it's a work day, then realising it's the weekend!!

10. Someone really appreciating something I have done

11. My neighbours cat, visiting and sleeping beside me as I type

12. Getting positive comments on my blog

13. Last but by no means least - spending quality time with my partner and my (grown up) children.
