Iron Man Matinee

The weather let us down today. After several beautifully warm sunny days today was dull wet and rather cool. So the perfect day for the cinema!

Went to see Iron Man and I must say I was rather reluctant to go as I didn't think it would be something I would enjoy. However I was surprised, it was actually quite a good film with a lot of humour.

I won't spoil it for those who may be yet to see it!

After the film we went to curry night in Wetherspoons. Not done that for probably over a year, was lovely!

Time For A Spicy Chocolatey Lolly!

With the weather being so beautifully warm it's been lovely to have an ice lolly now and then.

I'd seen adverts for the new Magnum Mayan Mystica on the bus stops so thought it would be worth a try - and it was!

It has an unusual spicy flavour to it which at first I wasn't sure about but as I munched into all that chocolatey goodness I decided I really loved it!

I'd not seen the advert below before, but I bet she hasn't had too many lollies the way she looks!

Now, off to the freezer!

Twist, Lick and Dunk!

I've noticed Oreos on the shelves at my local supermarket for a long time now, and have occasionally eaten them as well.

Recently they are everywhere, even being advertised on the sides of the the good old red London buses. Not really thought much of it till I came across this news article on the BBC saying that they are an American favourite and are attempting to now become a British fave as well..

So I was wondering, my American friends, are you Oreo lovers? are they the best thing ever to you and your families? Do you really twist, lick and dunk?

Getting Drunk On Crisps?

Revealed today - some crisps have a teeny weeny bit of alcohol, added to extract the flavour apparently..

This has obviously not gone down to well with the Muslim Community..

Senior Muslim figures have said that they are shocked that a number of Walkers snacks contain traces of alcohol and eating them is therefore against their religion.

A tiny amount of alcohol is used in some products as a chemical agent to extract flavour.

Snacks that are likely to be boycotted by Muslims are Sensations Thai Sweet Chilli, Doritos Chilli Heat Wave and Quavers Cheese.

Full story HERE

Now that's why I always felt dizzy after eating them... nahh only joking

The Best Nando's Meal

I really enjoy eating Nando's chicken here in UK. When I saw they had one in Dubai I was very pleased!

Some things on the menu were slightly different and I made my order, can't remember what it was called, but it was something we don't have in London.

When it arrived I was even more pleased. It looked delicious and tasted even more yummy. The chicken was hanging on a skewer over a plate of roasted veggies, and I can say I had the most enjoyable meal.

Another thing I wish they had in UK!!

Almost My Bananas

Whilst browsing this vast internet I came across Diana's Bananas.. Someone with my name who's as crazy about bananas as me!! Amazing!

Chocolate dipped frozen bananas - sounds delicious to me, just one problem, not available in UK.

Has anyone tried them?

How Do You Like Your Banana??

How ripe do you prefer your banana? I definitely prefer mine at number 4 or 5, still firm but not too hard!

I Hate Peeling Oranges!

You can get all kinds of fresh ready prepared vegetables - you can get little tubs of ready to eat fruits.

But what about oranges?

Would be nice to get ready peeled oranges for the lazy people like me who love juicy oranges, maybe packed in airtight sealed packaging so they do not loose their wonderful juciness?? Come on supermarkets! I can't be the only only lazy orange lover!
