Man Kills "Bullying" Cat!

Do you think it's possible to be bullied by a cat?

Well one man believed he was being menaced so much that he killed the cat - crazy I'd say!

"He admitted he had killed two-year-old Chopper because the cat had smirked after it crept into his living room and knocked over a vase, had menaced him in his own home and had bullied his landlady's cat Barney."

"He said: "The cat became a menace. He looked pleased when he knocked over a vase.

"Things were getting broken and the vase was knocked over with water and flowers everywhere.

"I knocked him unconscious with my hand and then threw it in the river.

He also pointed out that he regretted his actions, saying, "I have never done anything like that before, I absolutely regret doing it."

A tragic over reaction...

Missing Cat - Now Back!

Regular readers may know I have a frequent furry visitor from next door. Until now, I've not set eyes on her since Monday and it's now Thursday and I really miss her.

WOW!!!!!!!! no one is going to believe this but as I typed that last full stop I heard her jump over the wall outside - it's wonderful to see her, but as usual she's gone right to the kitchen looking for nibbles, hehe..

She must have some kind of ESP..

Such a sweetie....

A New Ornament

Don't want too many ornaments, they only need dusting... But this furry one is kinda cute!

Not even my cat, but she certainly makes herself at home here!

Sweet Sweet Kittens

There's a new pet shop in my local high street. It's been there for a few weeks and I've often glanced in as I've passed.

Today was different, outside the shop was a sign that caught my eye - KITTENS..

I just had to go in and take a peek.

What I saw in there totally entranced and shocked me at the same time.

There were 2 cages, in one were 2 little black kittens and in the other 3 ginger kittens. All mewing, crying to come out, to be taken home. I felt a mixture of delight at the sight of those beautiful creatures and horror that there they were stuck in these cages!

I knelt there talking and admiring them for quite some time. The guy in the shop informed me they were £150 each..

I felt like taking them all there and then. It was difficult to leave the shop, closing the door on those plaintive little mews..

As regular readers will know, I don't have my own cat but I have my frequent visitor from next door. I have for a long time been thinking about getting my own kitty, but it seems the time is never right.

Having never had a kitten before I guess it takes some time to get them settled in, so it would have to be at a time when I have say, maybe a couple of weeks off work?

I know a lot of my visitors have cats, so I would be grateful for any help or advice you may have on how easy/difficult it is when you first have a kitten in the house, especially if you go out to work..

I know I could just buy a book or find out online but it's always best I think to hear real life experiences.

Does Your Cat Eat Anything Unusual?

Regular readers may remember I don't have a cat of my own but I do have a frequent visitor from next door.

She regularly pops in for a nap or some nibbles...

Last night she popped in just as I was finishing a delicious banana and custard yogurt. I put the empty carton down on the table and in no time she was licking the edge of the pot, it's quite a wide pot and she had no trouble getting deep into the bottom to retrieve every last drop of yogurt. If only I had my camera all set and ready to go it would have made a wonderful picture.

I was surprised that she enjoyed this so much, it is very sweet and not the sort of thing I thought a cat would enjoy.

So, just wondering all you cats and owners reading this, what's the strangest thing your cat eats?

I'm Half And Half

You Are: 50% Dog, 50% Cat

You are a nice blend of cat and dog.

You're playful but not too needy. And you're friendly but careful.

And while you have your moody moments, you're too happy to stay upset for long.

Thanks to Faz The Cat for this one..

A Gift From Greece

Greek Pussy, originally uploaded by LadyBanana.

My youngest daughter bought me this little gift from Zante. It's a cat head fridge magnet. Rather strange but it's very similar colourings to my real visiting cat.

I showed it to the visiting cat, and she wanted to bite it.. I wonder what she was thinking!

Spot The Cat

IMG_1936, originally uploaded by LadyBanana.

I was taking some photos of the cat next door from my balcony. She was hiding in some bushes, I guess it was nice and cool there. Also she was able to spy on some unsuspecting birds that were hopping around on the path...

Monday Mumblings

This evening is really rather chilly. Quite glad to have the laptop right here on my lap keeping me warm.

Last night I joined Jyte and was quite transfixed with it, voting thumbs up, thumbs down for all sorts of things and also making a few claims myself.. Funny thing though when I looked at it this morning I wondered why I had been so immersed in it, as in the light of day it seems rather ridiculous.. It has the potential to be very good but the sort of silly nonsensical claims being made there spoil it for me - maybe because I'm past my teens! Anyone used/using it? let me know what you think..

This morning I had the perfect excuse for not doing much as I was waiting in for an electrician to call to change my electricity meter for one that actually belongs in this century! It didn't take too long and I wasn't without power for too long either.

Whilst wasting time this morning I came across this video of a "talking" cat - well I don't know what it's saying but it certainly made my (neighbours) cat (who was sleeping on the sofa beside me) leap up with total confusion on her face. She climbed all over me and the laptop in an effort to work out who and where the "talking" was coming from. It was very funny.. If you have a cat, play this in earshot of the cat and see what happens!

Then I went to work, I hate the start of the week, back to working in the horrible little room with no window so no natural light, I privately call it my prison cell as that's I how I feel imprisoned there for up to 8 hours a day..

They're Coming To Get Me!

They're Coming To Get Me!, originally uploaded by Lady Banana.

Caught this cat in the park, racing around as "invisible" monsters
chased after it and it ran up a tree to escape - was hilarious!

Beautiful Bengal Cat

Sitting, originally uploaded by Siggav.

I would love to have a cat and in particular a Bengal Cat. The markings are so beautiful and distinct and the fur appears to be soo silky. I have never seen or touched one in real life but hope I will. I know from research online thay are quite expensive to buy and with my luck it would get stolen knowing the area in which I live... Oh well..
