Kwout, An Easy Way To Post Screen Shots

I discovered this clever KWOUT on the above page. It's a tool which cuts out a part of any web page so you can add to your blog or even Flickr quickly and easily.
Just add the bookmarklet to your browser, click it when you are on any page you wish to quote, in a few moments a screenshot will appear, you then highlight the area you wish and click cut out..it then generates the code for you to copy and paste, or if you have chosen to upload to Flickr it authorises and uploads in a flash! very nice :)

I used Kwout to add all the the screenshots in this post.

Change The Look Of Firefox

I read about Firefox Personas in a couple of places today and thought I'd give it a try.

Personas are a fast easy fun way to change the appearance of the Firefox browser (which is the browser I always use)with just a mouse click.

You need to download the add-on HERE, install, then re-start the browser. Then you should see the little fox in the bottom left of your browser. Click and pick!

To be honest I'm not that keen on some of the looks as I find it more difficult to find the buttons (I have a lot of them) with all the fancy designs but it's fun trying them out!

Cooliris Gets Even Cooler

When I opened Firefox this morning I was prompted to update Cooliris.

Cooliris is brilliant, I have been using it for quite a while now. It saves you clicking links by giving you a preview of what's ahead.. and if you like it then you can lock the preview and view it fully. There are lots of useful features which instead of me giving a bumbling description it's easier if you watch the video!

Infinite Scrolling For Flickr

Do you ever feel it's such a bother having to click "next" all the time when browsing a photostream in Flickr? Well I do, or rather I did until I discovered this Flickr Auto Pagination

It's brilliant in that it loads the next page as you come towards the end of a page so you never have to click and wait. It definitely makes browsing photos a lot more pleasurable and I must admit that sometimes in the past I would give up viewing as I got bored with clicking all the time.

To use it you need to be using Firefox and have Greasemonkey installed first!

FlickrFox

I was up nice and early this morning got a few things done in preparation for the arrival of a workman coming to do a few bits in the house. So I have had the perfect excuse for not doing much since and just pottering around the internet.

I came across FlickrFox and I really like it... It's a Firefox add-on which shows up photo's in a sidebar. You can choose to see either everyone's photos, your contacts photos, photo's from one of your groups or just choose by tags.

Using this I have come across some really lovely photo's that have inspired me to get out more and do more with my camera!

Anyway, the workman still has not arrived - such a waste of a perfect sunny morning where I could have popped out and got a few photo's myself before having to get to work this afternoon.
