My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this book. Knowing it's a true story made it all the more fascinating. Bob is truly an amazing cat!

See description and video below:

When James Bowen found an injured, ginger street cat curled up in the hallway of his sheltered accommodation, he had no idea just how much his life was about to change. James was living hand to mouth on the streets of London and the last thing he needed was a pet.

Yet James couldn't resist helping the strikingly intelligent tom cat, whom he quickly christened Bob. He slowly nursed Bob back to health and then sent the cat on his way, imagining he would never see him again. But Bob had other ideas.

Soon the two were inseparable and their diverse, comic and occasionally dangerous adventures would transform both their lives, slowly healing the scars of each other's troubled pasts.

A Street Cat Named Bob is a moving and uplifting story that will touch the heart of anyone who reads it.

  1. It isn't true that all cats are self sufficient and don't 'connect' with us humans.

    1. Bob is amazing.. there are other videos on You Tube including one of an appearance on This Morning TV show. I'd love to have a cat like him!

  2. I had a cat, well 2 cats a brother & sister pair, for 4 years when I was 12. The female cat, all white with some ginger patches, was very independent but the boy cat, almost all ginger colour, was so much affectionate and clingy.
This story is so amazing and warms the cockles of your heart. Just great! I will get the book if I can order it online or find it in one of the book stores here.
