These little monkeys residing at Longleat Safari Park were recently given a car to play with in readiness for the “drive-thru” re-opening.
They hadn’t seen any cars for 2 years as a rare virus had been discovered in one of the monkeys so the park had to be closed.
We don’t have Sky TV, which is fine.
But we do have Freeview and have for some time been thinking about getting a box which allows us to watch TV in High Definition (when being broadcast in HD of course) and to record and pause live TV.
So yesterday I bought one of these..
But alas it’s not working properly. I don’t think there is anything wrong with the box itself but it keeps losing signal, every couple of minutes, so it makes watching anything comfortably quite impossible.
My OH has tried every single setting on every single menu. He’s updated the firmware and started from scratch, several times!
We’ve checked the Philips site for support, and read through discussion forums – all to no avail.
It wasn’t cheap but I feel it was such a waste of money..
I wonder if the shop will take it back?
Saturday evening, nothing much worth watching on the TV yet again.
We have Freeview but not Sky so our choices are more limited.
Could always watch a film I suppose but what I do enjoy is putting my earphones on and exploring Spotify
Spotify along with iTunes *scrobbles what I listen to so you can see a list here on Last.fm
(*Scrobbling a song means that when you listen to it, the name of the song is sent to Last.fm and added to your music profile)
It’s a great way to listen to new stuff that you’d not really be sure about wanting to own, and if you do love something, well then it’s nice to buy it!
See what I listen to by checking the Last.fm widget in the left sidebar or HERE
Oh and feel free to add me as a contact there ![]()
