The Last Post

This is the last post I will ever write..

Don't get excited now, I'm not giving up blogging, I mean the last for 2010!

Can't quite believe that this year went so fast.

I would love to do a review of the year, of all the wonderful and exciting things that happened to me but to be honest not a lot of note did happen.

Anyway, the main thing is, I along with my nearest and dearest got through it alive and in good health.

So that's what I wish for my family, friends and readers, a very healthy new year, as without health nothing else matters!

Hunting

Whenever we hear birds frantically squawking outside we know it’s Mabel causing trouble!

It’s not the first time we’ve spotted her up a tree, this time hunting a magpie! (I was in such a rush to take the photos before she climbed down I didn’t get the magpie in the shots)

Christmas - Done!

I got a bit stressed in the run up to Christmas as it was to be the first time ever I wouldn't be spending the day with my 3 kids. (Apart from the time one of them was away working in Dubai)

They spent the day with their Dad so myself and Rob spent it with his parents and family. Robs sister has 2 little ones, aged 2 & 5, so it was wonderful seeing the smiles on their little faces. That's what Christmas is about!

Boxing day my 3 and DIL came to me, which was lovely. The day went so fast!

So here we are, Monday morning and a whole week ahead of no work and no particular plans, apart from munching all those left overs - FANTASTIC!!

I Now “BE Unlimited”

You might recall a couple of weeks ago I got connected to Sky Broadband.

I was very disappointed at the speed.

However being a canny couple, myself and Rob decided we would not stand for it.

So I called Sky and took advantage of the “cooling off period” and cancelled the contract. I was told (by Sky) I was being hasty and should give it at least 10 days etc etc but I stuck to my guns.

If I hadn’t we would have missed the right to cancel!

Today we have a new connection to BE Broadband and right away we have a much speedier connection.

 

So far they seem a great isp, I am very happy we changed while we could

Cold Carols

Last Sunday I went to a Candlelit Carol Service. I’m not a great one for religion or going to church but I thought it might be nice to go considering it’s been a few years since last time.

I was disappointed though as I can’t say I enjoyed it really.

The entire service left me quite empty, cold (not because of the weather) and untouched, not the feeling I expected at all.

I can’t quite put my finger on why..

The only thing I can say was that the church was rather beautiful.

Today I was buying some polyfilla makeup in Boots and got this free gift!

A cute little makeup bag with actual mini products inside.

Made me happy anyway

Talking To Myself..

Talking to myself is something I need to STOP doing, especially in the street.

People will get the wrong idea about me…

Sky Broadband, Dreadful Speed!!

Because my current internet provider, UKOnline is closing down, I have changed to Sky broadband. (Seems they were owned by the same company behind the scenes anyway)

 

Switched over this morning and so far not very happy with the speed!

 

I’m sure (up to) 20mb broadband should be faster than this:

Empty

After being a full-time Mummy for many years how do you find things to do for yourself when they have flown the nest?

I can't remember what I enjoy doing, apart from some of the things it's no longer appropriate to do now!

I feel I need a new lease of life, to start a new chapter but my pages are somewhat sadly blank.

Feeling rather empty at the moment..
