This is a photo from my recent holiday.
I love just gazing at it, imagining the peace and quiet and contentment I'd feel if I lived in that cottage over looking the sheep…
Walking to work is becoming a hazard :(

The weather has now turned decidedly cooler. Time to pack away the skimpy summer skirts and tops and bring out the warmer cosy clothes, but alas, it seems whilst in storage..
THEY HAVE ALL SHRUNK!
I am none to pleased to say the least as I have no desire or enough money to go shopping for an entire new winter wardrobe.
I’m just going to look like an old sack of spuds in rather too tight clothes for a while :(
Today I feel a kind of panic setting in and I know why.
It’s getting horribly close to Monday when I have to go back to work after 2 whole weeks away.
These 2 weeks have been happy, I have been happy, no headaches, no low moods, just felt good.
I know as soon as I am back at work all the above ailments will return along with the doggone tiredness.
But at least today I caught up with a few things I have been meaning to do forever so that’s quite satisfying, oh and I made yet another cake, this time a whopping great big fruit cake.
Fancy coming over to help me eat it? :)
Yesterday I visited a museum I had only recently discovered.
The Museum Of Brands is near to Notting Hill Gate in London and is a fascinating collection of items.
From the site:
“It’s all here...the brands and packs, posters and adverts, fads and fashions, toys and games. Evocative and inspiring, it’s a kaleidoscope of images and iconic brands.
Featuring over 12,000 original items from the Robert Opie Collection, the Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising is a recent addition to the museums in London, located just off the famous Portobello Road in Notting Hill.
The history of consumer culture is revealed though household products and shopping basket favourites in our ‘time tunnel’, which charts a nostalgic journey from Victorian times to the present day. Discover how well-loved brands evolved through their creative use of packaging and advertising, and how we evolved with them.”
I took lots of photos but they are not brilliant as the lighting in the museum was rather subdued, but it was well worth a visit and might bring back a few memories as it did with me!
Years ago and I mean more than 10 years ago I used to really enjoy making cakes.
However they tasted soo good I put on way too much weight so I stopped.
The last week or so I have been struck once again by the baking bug and so far I have made a Lemon Drizzle Cake and a Carrot and Raisin Cake.
I’ve not lost my touch, they were delicious!
Just feel sorry for my hips now!
Sometime last week it was my Blogoversary, my 4th at that!
I was away climbing the cliffs of Dorset but I didn't forget, that happened when I got home, I forgot, till now..
I can’t believe I have been blogging for that long, I still remember starting, thinking it would be a short lived phase as so many things I do turn out to be.
At least with blogging it can be what you want it to be, never the same 2 days running so I guess that’s what keeps me (and many others I’m sure) going.
Anyway, I hope I have the motivation and ability to continue for a good while yet and I hope some good people will continue to pop by and leave a comment or few occasionally – those comments do help with the motivation a tad. hehe…
So, every blogoversary deserves cake even if belated, just so happens I made a lovely carrot cake today, fancy a slice?
A small selection of my recent holiday photos..
Places visited:
Can you imagine a world with no make-up?
No make up on actors in films, on TV presenters or shows?
No make-up on those *beautiful* so called stars/ celebs?
I don’t wear much make up so wouldn’t really miss it.
Do you wear make up and would you miss it?
I’m back here in the big, dirty, noisy city from the beautiful county of Dorset.
For those who had not noticed, I was away for a few days, a few fantastic days at the Jurassic Coast.
I totally loved the stunning scenery, took loads of photos which I shall no doubt be posting over the coming weeks, although no picture can do justice to those amazing views!
If I had the chance I’d pack up life here in London and move down there. I love the gentler pace of life there, I love the friendliness of the people there…
Time to buy a lottery ticket maybe…
This advert always makes my naughty mind ask "What happens next"? lol
Watch it and tell me what you think happens next!
