Npower Are Sexist

I get my electricity and gas from Npower, have done for years and the bills were all in my sole name.

A few months ago I added my partners name to the bills (hey it’s only fair!) which was fine and the bills arrived with both our names on.

However, when they send us any other kind of communication they address it ONLY to him!

Bleedin’ cheek! Are they so sexist they think the man is in charge!?

Well let me tell you Npower – I am in charge here!

(Just don’t tell my partner I said that though)  LOL

Dress Difficulties

I have a special event coming up shortly so my mind has been pretty much focused this last week on finding something to wear.

I’m not much of a dress wearer, don’t go to places which require it and feel happier being ultra casual so finding a nice dress which I like and fits has been very difficult!

The main reason for this is being top heavy, having big boobs.

I find a size that fits my body and it’s way too tight on the top, then I get the size that fits my bust and it’s too loose on my body, I could cry it’s so difficult.

Anyway, after many miles of trudging up and down Oxford Street I now have, not one but two quite nice outfits.

I am trying them on, again and again hoping to make a firm decision on which one to wear sooner rather than later so then the other one can be returned.

I had thought of posting pictures here and setting up a vote to help me choose, but for several reasons decided against that.

Maybe I’ll post a pic after the event.

Or maybe I should just wear a sack…

My Latest iPhone Obsession

As you may have noticed – I LOVE my iPhone. Ever since I got it I’ve loved it and all the new games that come along make it even more wonderful.

I currently play, Words With Friends, Plants vs Zombies and now, my latest addition is We Rule.

I’ve been told it’s a bit like Facebook’s Farmville, but I’ve not played that so wouldn’t know.

But it’s cute and fun and is part of the reason I like going to bed early, I mean I gotta harvest my crops and plant some more for the morning!

Too Tired, Again..

This is the 2nd evening I’ve put the computer on with the intention of doing a decent post but haven’t.

Seems the computer is making me very very tired and desperately wanting my bed.

I’m enjoying going to bed with my iPhone and playing a few games before dropping off.

I will try here again tomorrow, maybe…

The Weekend Past..

Oh what a weekend.. was starting to think I was running a hotel!

Since last Wednesday my youngest daughter, who turned 22 on Thursday by the way, has had a variety of friends over to stay.

I don’t mind them staying, it’s just more people, more noise, especially when they come home at 3am after having had a few drinks! And once I’ve been woken I find it extremely difficult to get back to sleep.

I didn’t have to cook for them or anything, they had Dominos and/or ate out.

But I find it rather odd when they are floating about all over my small flat in the mornings, a time when I want to get on with my domestic duties as normal. Normal being in a state of dress not seen by anyone other than nearest and dearest.. so that had to change.

Then finding, or rather not finding, anywhere to sit, so having to disappear, feeling like a spare part, to the bedroom.

Anyway, they’ve all departed now, so peace and a bit of order has resumed – Gawd.. I’m getting OLD!

I did however find the chance to take a few photos, this one is of the roses I was given for Mothers Day last weekend. As you can see they are on their last legs stems…

Down With A Tree, Up With Poles

A local park I sometimes walk through is constructing an adventure playground, which, when finished I sure will be great fun for the kids.

Right now it looks like a monstrosity, a haphazard erection of wooden poles.

BUT what annoyed me, is that they chopped down one of the old trees to make way for it (thankfully just the one!).

In my day the trees were what we played in/on!

Dozy Me

Photobucket

I went to see my Dr yesterday in the continuing search for a way to deal with the headaches.

She gave me Amitriptyline which I know to be a kind of anti-depressant with a sedative effect.

I’m supposed to take one each night,  last night I took the first.

Today, I’ve been very dozy.

So, another unacceptable medication.. no good for a work day!

She also gave me Sumatriptan to be taken at the onset of pain.

I have tried these before without much success but maybe I didn’t take them in time, not sure.

I’m not keen on taking any of these though. They all have some rather unpleasant side-effects and I’m a very sensitive bod in that I am very likely to suffer.

Not had a headache for a week now (whoo hoo) so feel tempted not to bother but I know when I do get one it seriously spoils my life for about 4 days.

I really don’t know what to do now.

Cold But Sunny

It was absolutely freezing today but beautifully sunny so I just had to go out and make the most of it.

So wrapped up well I spent a couple of hours wandering around Regents Park.

Of course I had my camera with me!

London Crime Figures

Today I received an email from good ol' Boris, the Mayor of London detailing the latest crime figures for London.

So, I thought I'd share it, just in case you want to know what kind of dangers I am likely to encounter living here!

I was surprised to see Homophobic Offences have risen so much.

I actually thought London was a much more easy going area.
