COLD!!!

Photobucket

I was horrified to wake up this morning to find we have no heating.

Why now when it’s minus something temperatures all day long!?

It took a lot of courage to strip off and get into the shower (thankfully there was hot water!)

This evening it’s on but very low, just about enough to stop icicles forming on the end of my nose.

We have also been warned of impending snow so the outdoor temperature isn’t going to improve for a while yet!

I’m pleased that for once we are having a “proper” winter, like the ones I remember when I was a kid, but having little or no heating is very bad luck.

Hoping it will be fixed properly tomorrow, if not then I’m coming to yours to warm up! ;)

  6. Argh. We had something similar a couple of years ago when the boiler pump switchy thing broke on Christmas Eve.

I can't remember what we did for a few days, but I know we had to improvise until we could get someone around to fix it.

Hoping your system is sorting itself out.

  7. Oh it's COLD here! And even though we already have almost a foot of snow on the ground, we're getting more tonight! But I DO have heat. Brrrrr!

    Hope it's all better now!

  9. Yikes! I sure hope your heat came back real quick, that's just terrible - do you have any backups?

Enjoy the snow, ever so fleeting as it is in London... come here if you want some up to your eyeballs! LOL

  10. Sadly, it's no use coming round to see us. Our heating has gone too! Shovelling snow in the cold outdoors makes the indoors seem warm when you get back, I find. But I'm exhausted now.
