Remember Remember The 5th of November

I always remember the 5th of November, not for Guy Fawkes and the fireworks, in fact I’m not too keen on them anyway, but because it was my Mothers birthday and sadly the day that her Mum, my Granny, passed away.

If my Mum was still with us she would be 74, pity she only saw 52 of those years.

Anyway, the fireworks have begun (what a waste of money eh!) so I’m going to make sure my cat Mabel is OK, even though she is most definitely safe indoors she is still scared :(

*hugs* on this special day... celebrations don't always need fireworks, just a warm heart.

This seems to be a sad time of year for many people.

Our Sukie is hiding underneath the armchair and has been there all evening. I think it will be her home for some weeks now :(
