End Of The Poll

Photobucket Thought it was time to remove the poll about the swine flu jab.

I had 43 votes and as you can see 70% say they will not have this vaccination.

I had 1 comment which I believe probably says it for a lot of us -

“I shall not have the swine flu jab because it has not been totally proven to be safe and also I do believe that in order to strengthen ourselves that a dose of the flue actually strengthens our individual auto immune system.”

I myself really do not want it but if I’m honest I’m not 100% decided yet.

Still it won’t be long now till many of us here in the UK have to decide once and for all!

9 COMMENTS, PLEASE ADD YOURS :):

  1. Our health care workers have been getting them this week.

We are all urged to get them here in Ontario.

  2. They aren't available in my area right now, but even if the vaccine showed up on my doorstep, I don't think I'd take it. Never had a flu shot and it seems with every new strain there is a new kind of panic. I'll take my chances.

  3. We don't have a lot of H1N1 vaccine in Seattle right now.

  4. Have you had many people turn up at the medical center you work at to have it yet?

  5. Opps, add me to the Yes votes please. ;) As soon as I can get it I will. It's not the 1918 flu, but it can often leave your bedridden for a week to 10 days. No fun! Um, unless I find you in my um... te he.

  8. Thanks Lady B, I was just wondering how many will turn up to have it, both lil man and I should be 2 of the first who get it, but I am still in 2 minds.

  9. I can't believe the number of people who say they won't be getting the H1N1 flu vaccine because it's not safe. It's just as safe as the seasonal flu vaccine which is very very safe. My family and I have been getting flu shots for over 20 years. Guess what? We don't get flu. That's a really good thing. For most people, flu, whether H1N1 or seasonal, is not dangerous, but it is a major pain. I'm not surprised many people in the US believe nonsense about flu shots (because, you know, we elected Bush twice and many people here think there were cavemen hanging out with dinosaurs), but I didn't think there was so much ignorance about the flu vaccine in other parts of the world.
