I Braved The Chaos

Photobucket
Both of my daughters are now away at uni. One of them left her room looking all nice clean and tidy.. the other left hers in a dreadful state, and I mean really really bad.

I've been thinking for the last few days should I just leave it as it is, after all she is old enough to do it herself but not knowing when she will be back for a visit it was making me feel uncomfortable knowing all that chaos was still sitting there.

So today armed with plenty of rubbish bags and the hoover I set to..

It was peculiarly satisfying seeing the floor once again become visible, and things starting to take shape.

She has so many clothes left behind here I'm wondering what she is actually wearing up there in uni.

Anyway, it didn't really take too long and I've already started on the washing, I'd guess there's another 5 or so loads to do.

I just hope, when she does come home to visit she will appreciate my effort and continue to keep it nice...

Hmmmm pigs might fly!

It's reading things like this that make me thankful I never had kids ;O)

I used to be like that too *Blush* ... wish my mum was as good as you tho, she just used to shout at me to tidy it instead lol.

Infact, my bedroom is still the messy room of the house if I am honest .... maybe you could come tidy it for me sometime?

That's hilarious. Two of my are away at university too. One is London at the University of London.

You should have seen #2's room. It was ridiculous. We told them we were ripping their rooms apart.

You brave woman!

I have a feeling it will stay that way, until she comes back for a visit, and then it will take no time at all before it is as messy as before. How do they make such a mess in such a short time?

How funny! I had one tidy son and one messy (very, very messy) son. They never changed, so don't get your hopes up :)

Har! Sounds like me and my daughter... I have to restrain myself from cleaning up her hellhole... but I'll finally give in after a few months and do a good clean. I can't help it.
