We Are All At Risk..
Not happy to read this today:
On telegraph.co.uk -
Foreign Office raises United Arab Emirates threat level
and on BBC -
UK says UAE terror risk is 'high'
It's just a little worrying as my son lives out there in Dubai...
But never mind, I then read this on the Home Office site about the UK -
The current terrorism threat level is Severe which means...
"severe - an attack is highly likely"
So I guess there's no need to worry - we are all at risk in this crazy world!

Everything is so chaotic now a days, try not to worry about your son too much. I know your a mom and that's not possible.
So it's thought to be safer in the UAE than in the UK, which I suppose is not all that surprising. I haven't followed that story so I don't know why, but it seems unlikely on the face of it that any Arab state would be at risk. Mind you there are huge numbers of westerners there.
Pointless Scaremongering.
Ah.. I was really scared when I was in London with all the hoo-ha about terrorism. I know the threat is there. But living in fear is not the way to go. That's what those terrorists want us to do. Be afraid be very afraid..
I guess you just go about your daily life and hope for the best. You can't be worrying all the time, because I think that is the terrorists' aim anyway - to terrorize. So, if everyone is all worried and scared all the time, then the terrorists win.
How true, sadly, how true...
Its terrible. I wish all this terror would end. Its been going on for years now. prob never stop either of its down to our government!
All of these things are always so worrisome.
Especially for any of us Westerners.
I am hoping that when us Americans get our new president in that is willing to use diplomacy....maybe we can begin to get some things fixed.
As for Dubai, these are my feelings.
Dubai may be doing great right now, but, let's face it...it is a Middle Eastern country.
All we need do is look at history to see that eventually all countries in this region have wars and conflicts.
My heart really goes out to the millions of ex pats that are flocking to Dubai. I think the future only holds disaster for them.
The princes that are building Dubai, and investing are already viewed by many in their own home countries as being selfish, spoiled and they are not liked very much.
As for me, for better or worse, I will stay with my country and keep fighting to get things change.
I worry a lot too. My husband is a long haul driver and is constantly in places that would be targets.
I just put my faith in God and keep going forward!!
I hope you can get some relief from your worries. These are truly very difficult times for everyone!!
I will send good thoughts and a prayer concerning your son. Try not to worry to much. But that's easier said then done.
