A Nothing Day

Photobucket
Been feeling rather irritable and bored all day and I know why, it's lack of sleep. As I've had the last week off work I've been staying up later than normal and I just don't do well with messed up sleep patterns.

When my kids were young it was different, I just sort of got on with it but these days it makes me feel bitchy. I wanted to go out but didn't have the energy or motivation. I wanted to do something good indoors but didn't for just about the same reason. I've got lots of house stuff to do and my little patio garden has weeds which are threatening to swallow me up if I don't tackle them soon, but nothing got done apart from me fiddling around online, mostly with my blog.

My partner has been occupied nicely all day with his new toy, a Playstation 3... so it would have been an ideal day to buzz off and do something worthwhile.

I just tried to watch something on BBC iPlayer (an online catch-up of BBC TV programmes) but it didn't seem to be working for me, typical!

Never mind I guess we all have these kind of nothing days sometimes..

I have those days all the time.

I usually have 3 day weekends and always end up doing nothing with them and then being pissed at myself come Tuesday when I head back to work! Argh!! So I know what you mean. I lost my motivation a few years ago and I gotta say...I really want it back.

My hours tend to be all over the place so I try to go to bed at the same time every night regardless of what time I have to get up in the morning. Alas, that tends to be midnight.

...and yesterday was rather grey and dismal at least in my part of the country. Today looks a lot more inviting outdoors even if just to blatter a few weeds. Which reminds me I need to do the same.

Nothing days make the something days stand out. :)

I'm getting out for old houses today. Tomorrow is Victoria Day for firecrackers and barbeque with family. Then work on Tuesday again. Wish you were here for the fun days.

I always feel so much better when my sleep in on schedule. And I get OFF schedule very quickly because I'm naturally a night person. It can just make me totally cranky!
