At The British Museum

Went to the British Museum today as it's a Bank Holiday, it was really interesting.

I was last there many years ago when the kids were very young and we went as part of a school trip. It's not far from where I live, a 30 minute bus ride and it's free entry, so I don't know why I hadn't been for so long, I guess it's lack of time.

The majority of people there did seem to be tourists, funny how when you live somewhere you don't visit too much.

I took lots of photos, some are not that brilliant as it's a bit dark in some of the rooms and of course a lot of the objects are behind glass, so reflections become quite a problem.

I was going to post a few but I couldn't make up my mind, so I posted them all in this slideshow made from the photos posted on Flickr..

Lovely photos. I spent most of my younger life living and working in London, yet only visited the British Museum once I think. I did, however, visit The National Gallery very often :O)

We usually go to the local zoo once a year, but it's been about 4 years since we went to the historical museum that is about 5 minutes from my house.
