Bank Card Reader
It's great to have a bank with a high level of security and this card reader came today in the post. Seems I am soon going to have to use it for any online banking transactions.
Now it seems to me it could be a whole lot of hassle.. Not just for me but everyone.. What happens if it gets lost, broken, runs out of battery, we want to use our cards whilst not at home and don't have it with us?
Oh well, I guess it's progress..
Do you have one of these? Or is it just in UK?

It's the first I've heard of it, and it does seem like it would discourage online business because of the extra hassle. I'd think there would be a better way to improve security. Maybe it's just an interim solution?
We have it in Belgium too but really, despite its added security, it is a hassle.
It's the first I've heard of it too but I would LOVE one! I hate having to type in all my details. I'd rather just swipe and get it over with!
We had one of these (still have, if I haven't thrown it out). The company that started this trend here eventually went belly up, it was too much hassle indeed.
.. and what if you have more than one account that needs these - carry 2 around?
It does seem like an excessively complicated and annoying way to address a problem.
Now if we could only get the banks to stop leaving confidential material in rubbish bins and skips...
Wow. I've never heard of this over here in Canada...
