Enter Entrecard
Thank goodness it's Friday, it's been a busy, tiring week..
This morning before I left for work I decided to give Entrecard a look.. I've noticed it popping up on lot's of pages I visit and me being the compulsive joiner thought I'd better get involved.
As you may notice my widget is near the top of the right hand sidebar, so if you are also a user don't forget to drop yours there...
I've lots of requests for advertising of other sites on my widget and I think I made the mistake of accepting almost all of them before checking them out - something I will definitely do in future so they are more suited to my type of blog maybe.
I feel Entrecard is probably more aimed at blogs and sites that are making money rather than just plain old personal blogs such as mine. But seeing as I'm a bit of an attention seeker it's always nice to see my visitor numbers increase... and hopefully with that, lot's of comments and new blogs to discover..

hey dropping by thru entrecard :) it's really been great for my blog too. there's also just one thing i don't like about it, and it's that people just tend to look over all your posts and just drop their cards. hehe. anyway thanks for dropping by mine :)

Yes, TGIF. I thought this was going to be a slow week. Boy, was I wrong.
I'm on entrecard now too. I know what you mean it's a bit overwhelming at first and I hate reading instructions! LOL
Now I decline most of the ad, unless they're from similar kinds of blogs. I've gotten a lot of traffic from it, but I think mostly from people who just pop in and out again after clicking the widget thingy. But some stick around and read...so that's cool. And I usually go back and check out their blogs too...so I'll stick with it for a while.

I recently joined entrecard to help my lil' music blog along.
I think i dropped my card sometime earlier today. i'm not sure if you saw it...
I think it can be addictive. I find myself visiting blogs, checking them out, then clicking the Entrecard to visit the blog that's being advertised. You really can find a lot of new blogs to read.
I think it's a nice way to let the blog owner know you dropped by, even if you don't have a comment to add. Plus, you both get credit for it.
I have gotten a nice increase in traffic from Entrecard. And it is fun! I usually approve most ads unless it's something that I or my readers might find objectionable.
Entrecard is working well for me too, I stick to the Art,Photography, humour, history,entertainment and of course personal diary categories. I have found some great blogs.
The more people we can get to do it, the more it will work for personal blogs :)

Sounds like quite a positive response you have there. I think I'll give it a go.
I have found Entrecard to be a great way to get a little bit of exposure and pick up a couple of readers. I am also glad to find new blogs to read that I would have otherwise never known about - like yours.

The make money blogs can get a little overwhelming. But it's really not the focus of Entrecard.
I'd encourage you to check out some of the different categories on campaign page.
I've discovered some great blogs and bloggers through Entrecard. An the comments I've gotten on my blog increased significantly.
I figure if 80 of my new visitors are just there to drop their card, that's fine. The other 10-15% of new visitors are the ones who are actually reading, commenting, and generally coming back again.
Plus, the attention is pretty cool.
I signed up for it too. Partly cause I noticed it on your blog. You were my first card drop. I checked out all the blogs I am advertising. I had a lot submit which were about money making and I declined all of those, they aren't relevant to my blog. There were enough personal blogs for me to fill up my spaces pretty quick. It will be interesting to see how it works out.
I'm also trying a new thing I found on one of those other blogs. It's called coComments. Not sure how it works yet but looked interesting.
