What A Rude Boy!
I could not believe my eyes when I first watched this video.. However I have since learned that this is in fact an adult male Andy Milonakis
He has a growth hormone problem which affects his appearance and his voice!

Yesterday there was a big fire in Oxford Street... story HERE
This evening I popped down there after work to meet my partner as he wanted to get some shoes, so I took the opportunity to take a few photos of the area almost 24 hours on.. It's still blocked off with many shops probably unable to open for some time!
Click the pic for more.
I can now have MySay....
They had some problems getting things going, but now it's fine. However I HATE hearing my voice, I know I don't have to listen to my own messages but it's like leaving voicemail, not my favourite thing. BUT if lots of people get going on it then what the heck! It might be a good laugh - and as the lovely Irish folks who are making this might say.. It's a great craic! (I bet I've got that wrong) LOL
So if you dare hear my voice just go HERE!
We are so very busy at work and there seems no let up, so when talk started about getting another person in to help out I made a quick decision and asked for more hours, which I got almost right away!
So that's good as it's nice to be accepted and also nice as the little extra money will help as I'm looking forward to going to Dubai later in the year!
I also have a week off coming up soon and I hope to get out and about a bit then, and it's amazing how a few day trips soon add up to quite an expensive week.
So, good news, just got to hope I can cope with it all!

I had an email today informing me that a photo I submitted HERE has been shown in a gallery in Switzerland!
Dear Photographer,
Your image was shown in the Musee de l'Elysee's exhibit ‘We are all photographers now!’ in the last few days. Enclosed you will find an installation view of your image that shows it in the wall.
That's nice but I bet they put them all up anyway!
I joined MySay yesterday but it doesn't seem to be working for me. It's sort of like Twitter but with voice.
I signed up to the service giving the phone number I will use (I gave them my mobile number as it's a local number to call and I get free evening/weekend calls) I then received a confirmation text and email with a PIN that I should enter when I call the given number to make a message, however a lovely Irish ladybot voice informs me they do not recognise my phone number... Hmmm that's a bit odd me thinks as it's obviously correct or I would not have received the confirmation text!
I have emailed the "help" but 24 hrs later still no response.
Be interesting to see how this service will progress, maybe they're having problems, but it would be nice for some kind of reply.. maybe tomorrow.
Anyone else tried this service, if so let me know how you get on!
Did a bit of shopping today, clothes shopping that is. In light of the fact that a lot of my more summery stuff "shrunk" I decided I had better get a few cheap n cheerful, mix n match bits to keep me decent for a few weeks until I'm back down to the "shrunken" size! (see, I'm being positive!)
So I traipsed up and down Oxford Street finding it very difficult to find something I liked, that suited me, was in my size and actually fitted me. But after about 5 hours (YES 5 HOURS!) I returned home with a few bits and very sore feet. Good job I went by myself, no one else would have had the patience to dither about as I did.
The weather is looking pretty good for tomorrow, so after I've won the London Marathon I may go take a few photos. Oh darn, I don't think I'll be able to do the marathon now as my feet hurt from all the shopping... oh well, maybe next year!
I'm going to have an early night tonight as I had a really stressful day at work.
I now have a sore throat, mouth ulcers, headache and I'm just wrecked.
So that's about it really.. Hope to be in better shape tomorrow!
I do not like spiders but couldn't resist posting this - the Lady Banana Spider.. I know it's just referring to the female of the species but... well there it was staring at me!
Found HERE
According to this research the chocolate wins over kissing!
What do you think?
I will stay safe and say both have their moments! hehe

Since the weather started to get better I've had to get out the boxes of summery clothes that I have. I was so upset when I found the vast majority of them have shrunk - well that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
No seriously, I seem to have piled on a few pounds during the winter which I am now desperate to loose. Funny thing most people haven't even noticed so I tell myself it can't be that bad, but anyway it's bad enough I have so few clothes to wear now. So a choice must be made, make changes with my diet or dump all my clothes then go out and buy all new! While the latter idea sounds great fun I really can't afford it, I think it will be a far more economical idea to cut down on what I'm eating..
So for the past 2 days I have started to make a real effort, not to diet as such but to be careful what and how much I consume. Of course it's not easy as I think about yummy food all the time and feel hungry all the time, hope this will pass soon!
I don't do any specific exercise but walking 2 miles (there and back) to work everyday must count for something..
Anyway, wish me luck to stay on track!

I have now been able to upload my photos from yesterday to Flickr
This afternoon I have enjoyed sitting on my balcony in the sun, reading my latest book "The Husband" by Dean Koontz and later chatting to my son in Dubai on MSN.
I miss him so much, he's not yet found accommodation and is still in the hotel but as soon as he gets settled I intend to get out there for a visit!

Had a lovely day today, just strolling around Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. Taking a few pix, sitting watching people go by in the sun. Was beautifully warm, so the first time in ages I wore a skirt, although that nearly didn't happen, my waist/hips seem to have expanded somewhat during the winter! But that's another story!
I have spent ages trying to upload my pix to Flickr but to no avail, only got this one up. I have tried using several different methods, Uploadr, Fireflix, Yahoo Widget Uploader, the webpage uploader and all useless..
I've had a struggle for the past 2/3 weeks now but tonight it is unusable, and that's very annoying as I've paid for the next 2 years!
Wow!! Great idea, have a party and advertise it on My Space! NOT!!
A 17 year old girl from the North of England did just that... Read here how it all went horribly wrong!
Thank goodness my kids have never done that, and I'm sure they never will.
There are so many things to get involved with online, so many things to join. I find emails arriving from something I must have joined a few weeks previously but had forgotten about. I always want to feel I'm not missing out on something fun!
I have been a Twitterer for a few weeks now and now tonight I find myself joining another service almost identical to twitter called Jaiku
I don't know why I joined, it's not like I use Twitter all that much, I guess it's just a compulsion to try out anything and everything going.. and there are always new things coming out to feed this compulsion!
Just wish there was ONE thing I could join that fulfilled all my online needs, that would make life easier. But then again I suppose it would be boring and I'd run out of things to do!
Do you ever notice how an ordinary word or action can suddenly seem so bizzare or odd? (Or is it just me...)
An everyday simple word or a name, if said over and over can sound strangely odd after a while.
But for me today it wasn't a word, it was the everyday action of people swinging their arms that began to look funny to me as I was walking home from work this evening. Particularly the ladies carrying a handbag or a carrier bag of shopping seemed to swing the empty arm with great gusto and the more I watched this the more bizarre it became to me that it was all I could do to stop myself laughing out loud. At first I noticed 2 ladies "swinging" with great force, then this drew my attention to other people and most of them were doing it.. Somehow it began to look almost alien to me (although I was probably doing it myself) these people swinging so forcefully these arms that appeared to have a life of their own!
Anyway, I'm sure you must think I'm a bit weird but next time you're out in the street take a look at the swinging arms and maybe you'll think of what I said...
On and off, more on than off, for the past 3 or 4 years I have put up with a persistent irritating ringing in my ears - tinnitus.
Sometimes I barely notice it but when I'm tired or stressed or well I don't know why, it drives me nut's. Today has been such a day..
I need some constant (gentle) background noise to semi blot it out, preferably some nice music.. But when I'm at work that's not possible. When I'm really really busy I don't notice either but those times in between the busy bits can be awful!
I've had all the hearing and ear tests possible and all's OK..
The cause is unknown but maybe due to the abuse my poor ears suffered back in the old disco days! So be warned!!
So just have to learn to live with it. But sometimes I just would like a day of PEACE!
I wonder could you love these cats?
I think most of the attraction of a cat is the beautiful fur so I don't like these at all.. I don't think I'd even like to touch one, looks creepy!
For more about these hairless cats, click HERE!

This weekend has seen me visiting the "inlaws" and walking in the park, doing what I enjoy, taking photo's. I'm not a particularly good photographer but I enjoy it and that's what matters. I'm not out to win anything from my pics, but it is nice when I do actually manage to achieve a really good shot.. and of course I do enjoy seeing the comments on Flickr.
So I have uploaded the ones I took today for anyone to take a peek at, to Flickr (as usual)
I am finding it very laborious uploading to Flickr recently, and I can't understand why. I have changed nothing at all at my end, a Flickr admin thought it must be my ISP, and my ISP says all is OK there as well...
I have been using several methods in an effort to get them uploaded and it's become very time consuming whereas in the past I used to drop loads of them into Uploadr and away they would go..
Now I use Uploadr to send 1 at a time or it disconnects... I use Fireflix for a few until thats gets "stuck", (that's a sidebar Firefox add-on) and then I send some through the Flickr upload page..
Has anyone had any problems like this? And if so have you been able to sort it out?
Anyway, almost time to get some sleep.. One last day free from work tomorrow... :)
I wasn't able to post yesterday as I was far too tired even to switch on my computer. I had been up since 6am, worked a full 8 hour busy day and then decided to do go shopping..
I went to Primark Oxford Street. It was the opening of the flagship store and there were rumours of bargains all day, so I hopped on a bus right from work and made my way there. My daughter was going as well with a friend and while I was on the bus she called me saying she had arrived at the store only to find massive queues right around the store on both sides. She decided to wait in the line and by the time I joined her it wasn't too long to wait.
Once inside it was really packed and quite understandable why security was only allowing a few in at time, 1 out 1 in!
My daughter bought a lot of pretty little bits and I bought some household bits, (after another queue of about 40 minutes for the till) all for very good prices although there were no special offers, but at Primark prices you don't really need extra offers!
So by the time I arrived home I was incapable of anything other than collapsing on the sofa!
More Here.
By the way, I was NOT one of those jostling and fighting to get in the store, that was in the morning, I was not there until much much later on!!
Today I woke up feeling dopey and even after breakfast, showering and a chilly walk to work I was still not feeling fully alert, and that feeling has lasted just about all day. I hadn't had a late night, it just seems to happen from time to time. I hate it when that happens as the day seems longer and more boring than normal.
So I will not be up late tonight in an effort to make tomorrow feel better..
One boring post isn't it...
Oh and just a reminder, make my day and leave me a voice message :)
I have far too much time on my hands this morning... hehehe
Just added voicemail on the right sidebar, please don't be shy, leave me a message, it's very simple to do.
I have left one to get the ball rolling!
I was up nice and early this morning got a few things done in preparation for the arrival of a workman coming to do a few bits in the house. So I have had the perfect excuse for not doing much since and just pottering around the internet.
I came across FlickrFox and I really like it... It's a Firefox add-on which shows up photo's in a sidebar. You can choose to see either everyone's photos, your contacts photos, photo's from one of your groups or just choose by tags.
Using this I have come across some really lovely photo's that have inspired me to get out more and do more with my camera!
Anyway, the workman still has not arrived - such a waste of a perfect sunny morning where I could have popped out and got a few photo's myself before having to get to work this afternoon.
I have heard and read quite a few April Fools jokes which were quite ridiculous but I have to admit I believed this one and promptly sent the link off to my partner as he loves doing downloading "stuff"
The One That Got Me!!!
Am I silly or what! :)
