Food Shopping And Fog
I feel a bit better today, enough to go and do the final food shop. Along with a million other people all acting crazy with trolleys overflowing as if the shops closing for 2 months not 2 days!
I normally buy a frozen turkey and let it thaw out over the next 2 days, but not this year, Sainsbury didn't have any at all and when I asked was told none were expected. So now we have a small fresh one which I'm sure will be even nicer!
Brussel sprouts are in very short supply it seems as well, as all they had were a few bags of rather manky looking ones. I heard this may be due to the awful wet summer and floods spoiling the crops. We found a bag of frozen ones, they'll do.
We don't have a car so walking home I began to feel a bit worn out and started feeling the cold penetrating my coat. There has been a heavy thick fog here all day and this has made the 2c feel even colder and damper.
I took a few snaps while I was out - it's been too long since I had a good old photography session!

it sounds pretty miserable and looks it as well. burrrrr
it's going to be 75 degrees here today....going to get another tan as I sit out at the dog park with my shorts and no sweater.
But, then we don't have that Christmas feeling...
It's a toss up of which is worse, right?
Oh Pawhealer, I think I'd prefer a bit of your weather..
The Christmas feeling, well that's just about gone anyway..
I love your picture; it looks like Seattle!
Your fresh turkey sounds great, and I'm sure it will be delicious.
Cool pic! You know I love all that fog and wind and cold. It got cold again here today. Of course it could be 70 in a day or two. We're always up and down.
I'm glad you're cold was a little better, but still, watch out for the damp outside. Makes a cold so much more miserable feeling :-(
Yummy turkey! I'm doing a big ham tomorrow and a small turkey. Got my family coming over tomorrow night.
Very cool photo.
