YakAlike Firefox Extension

This morning I found this in a magazine I read, and of couse being a Firefox extension I just had to try it.

It's called YakAlike .

It allows you to chat with other people on the same website as yourself by opening (at your choice) a window below the current page you are viewing. If you have lots of tabs open the "chat room" you are in will change accordingly as you switch tabs/pages - see pic.

It's a nice idea but I don't think many are using it yet as I have not come across anyone else online in one of the rooms yet.. or maybe it's just the wrong time of day, or maybe just the wrong webpages I look at ... lol

I know from the image it looks like people had been there but it was empty when I arrived, I think it was just showing past conversations.

Well if you fancy giving it a go let me know then maybe we can try it out on a page together, I just want to see it in action!
