Sainsburys Virtual Museum
I came across this site The Sainsburys Virtual Museum which is a virtual museum of one of UKs leading supermarkets. Its fascinating to see the pictures of how they used to be and that the Sainsbury stores have been around since the 1890's!
It's a fascinating site which amongst other things has recipes from the war, stories of bomb damage, rationing, and lots of old photos such as this one, which was the first store in Drury lane London.
A site well worth a visit if you like a bit of history!
