Another Upheaval..

Well the Christmas/Holiday season is well and truly over now. My youngest daughter left to go back to uni today. She had, in the 3 weeks of being home , collected a lot of stuff, mostly boots! I cannot believe how many pairs of boots an 18 yr old needs!

I don't feel as bad as I did the first time ( I was completely and utterly distraught back then in September) but I still feel quietly sad and empty.

She is lucky enough to be driven down by a friend she has made in uni who lives about 200 or so miles north of us (uni is on the south coast in Brighton). Carrying all those bags and boots on the train would not have been much fun for her.

So right now I am watching the clock and waiting for the call to let me know she has arrived safely...
